Description
This lunch and learn is about how the Waukegan School District plans to develop the local workforce by launching a career academy system.
A career academy system is a new twist on vocational education and is designed to have a college prep curriculum with a career-related coursework.
The goal is to prepare high school graduates for the workforce. Students work with local businesses to complete real-world projects.
Listen as Dr. Cager outlines the expectations, goals and aspirations for students in this new system.
