Employee Connections was founded in 2008 by Cynthia Harris who is also the Executive Director and CEO of Employee Connections. Our agency is a 501 (C) 3 not-for-profit employment education and training agency that has provided, for over a decade, workforce development training in essential employable skills, life skills and case management wraparound services to the youth, adults and families that reside in Lake County, IL. Through our programs and services over 2,000 youth, adults and families across Lake County, IL, have been placed in job opportunities, obtained education credentials and certifications, and moved on to pursue industry-linked careers. Our agency’s primary focus has been on reconnecting our youth with their education and career goals and giving them the mentorship and support that they need to become future community leaders. Our Board of Directors are representative of the Business Development & Management, Law Enforcement, Faith Based, Essential Community Human Services, Financial and Philanthropy sectors within Lake County, IL, and have a heart to donate their time, advice and services to our mission. Our team consists of a seasoned staff of professionals. Our core areas of operation are; Case Management Services, Office Management Services, GED Online Academy, Job Placement and Training and Technology/Job-Readiness training. The programs and services that we offer extend to all program eligible residents in Lake County, IL.
